Availability
of CD-Roms
 This
is the tricky part. Some CD-Roms can be easily purchased direct from the
makers. Other can be obtained from high street shops. Some can be
bought through educational suppliers. BECTa
- the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency undertook a
review of educational CD-Roms in 1997-98. This excellent resource is available
online - yet, as they admit, many of the
prices and suppliers are now out of date. They promise to update the
page during the year 2000. The
best place to find the CD-Roms is still via the BECTa
website. They have a comprehensive
listing of suppliers with
telephone numbers and contact information. When BECTa update the
information on their site, I will update this page. I
also wish to provide direct links to suppliers who offer History
CD-Roms. I will create a list on this page when I find some!
Please let me know if you
know of any reputable suppliers.
