Occasionally people here ask how they can copy from VHS video to DVD. Apart from the simple but fairly costly solution of buying a DVD recorder / VHS video recorder combination unit, there are other ways.

They've been outlined here many many times, but just in case anyone is new and doesn't know how, try going to this website for basic information on this and other advice on technology (I've found it very useful). It's important to archive your VHS and audio cassette media because tape will degrade over time! I need to make a start on mine, then!

See http://www.frequency...co.uk/show.html
for general advice on all things technology-related and specifically http://www.frequency...uk/archive.html on how to archive your media. All very useful stuff here - you can even listen to the podcast or download it. It looks so easy that I may give it a go... a large job it will be, too, for me...

Other advice listed by topic is at http://www.frequency....uk/topics.html
