Unit 1 - The Seeds of Evil
Unit 2 - Italy Rise of Fascism
Unit 3 - Conflict, Depression and Opportunity, Britain 1919-1939
... is there anyone out there doing this interwar Britain who'd welcome the chance to trade ideas (given that there's so little decent published material)?
I've also marked Unit 2, Russia

Unit 1 Seeds of Evil
Unit 2 Democratic Experiment- Weimar Germany
Unit 3 A very English Reformation- Henry VIII
Unit 4 Nazi FP
Unit 5 The Tudor State
Unit 6 Nazi Power and Control
Have moved from my previous dept where we were champions of the coursework
Unit 1 Seeds of Evil or Henry VII
Unit 2 Lutheran Reformation (bit out of place)
Unit 3 Centre devised coursework on British Fascism
Unit 4 Coursework- centre designed Anti Semitism in England
Unit 5 Individual Assignment (actually was that Unit 4?)
Unit 6 Nazi power and control or Mid Tudor Crisis
Students loved the idea of just one exam in year 13. Produced very strong results and examiners were fine with that amount of coursework- a few raised eyebrows! Would be keen to hear from anyone who attempted a similar thing- thoughts. i'm thinking of trying it again, but the coursework paperwork was byzantine!

Can anybody recommend a good book for teaching the Decolonisation of Kenya unit - one of the most obscure topics i've come across given the lack of material to teach this in depth?

Hi! I noticed that you teah/ taught the edxcel syllabus The Tudor State. I am struggling to understand the syllabus. Are they assessed on the turning points in general or turning points in the power of the monarchy and parliament?
Similarly, are the factors for change, factors for change in the power of the monarchy/ parliament or something else? Hope this maks sense!
Do you have a SOW on this?

We're currently trying to map out a SOW - think it depends very much on what else you teach at A-level - ie do you do other Tudor options? (so will the students have prior knowledge?)
Hope this helps

I am, and I'm STUCK!
I am doing:
Origins of the French Revolution 1774-1792 (document paper)
Napoleon I (historical investigations)
If anybody does this at all, anywhere, I'd like to speak to you.
I've got a vague SOW i'm building from scratch, and some lesson plans so far from this term.
I'd also appreciate any advice from anyone else doing OCR options, as this is my first year both teaching, and doing A Level (and having a nervous breakdown)
