Having taught history for over 30 years, when my school was closed and all staff were made redundant, six years short of pension, I changed to being a battlefield tour guide.
If I can help in any way, with the planning, or where to visit, please just ask!

Bruce

Hi Bruce. You sound like my kind of tour guide!

We're proposing a visit to our head tomorrow. It'll be the first battlefields visit this school have dne for erm... possibly ever. I've been to loads of WW1 and WW2 sites but any thoughts you have on a 'killer' itinary for year 9's (either war, or both) would be much appreciated.

I now officially hate the Royal Mail.

Equity informs me today that they have not received the next installment due to mail strike and they won't pay the hotel without it and the hotel is threatening to cancel our accomodation!

AAAAARRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!
