We have been told to update departmental letters but none are in place. Could anyone spare a copy of the letters they send out please?

Thanks
Alison

Have 18 or so different letters that I use for all sorts of situations...

Have tried to upload them on here just now but have failed (app. I don't have permission to upload!) so PM me with an email address and I'll send them back to you.

Could you let me know what the message said? I've just checked and everyone has the 'permissions' in the forum to upload here. There is a maximum size of 6mb and - I think - a maximum number of uploads per post. However, you should be able to upload - it would be good to find out more so I can fix it :)

Andrew,

"Upload failed. You are not permitted to upload this type of file"

File incidentally is MS Word (2007 version)

That would be why then - it is a .docx file rather than a .doc - the forum wasn't setup to allow them. I'll change that right away and you should be able to :)

Hmm - or I would if I could find the setting :( I'll see if I find it later. There is also a new version of the forum software out, so I might upgrade us to that which should include the new setting anyway. Sorry for the delay!

Edit: Never mind - found it now. You should be able to upload Word 2007, .docx files now.

Here you go folks....

This should keep some people happy! (and hopefully upset a lot of kids!)

I gave these drafts to my office staff and they've put them into approved school format etc and they keep electronic copies for me. Then when I need a letter sending home I simply send an email to the office staff and tell them the name of the kid(s), the number of the letter and any other details like dates of detention or for handing in coursework etc...

Simple eh?

Paul

ps- Thanks for changing the system Andrew to allow Office 2007 files!
