The British Cartoon Archive is pleased to announce its newly developed grouping facility - http://www.cartoons....k/create-groups.
This grouping facility allows users of the 140,000 images on the BCA website to create their own groups of cartoons. These groups can be given a title, an introduction, and individual annotations, and be made available, on the website, for others to see. It is thus possible to create specific teaching and learning resources without having to clear copyright.
The BCA is holding a Workshop in London to demonstrate this grouping facility. Participants will be shown how to create groups which could be used for learning, teaching and research. They will be assisted to produce and publish groups in their own subject areas during the workshop, and will be invited to participate in the future planning of the BCA’s cataloguing and digitisation programme. The Workshop will be held in London on 18 September 2009.
Would you like to attend this London workshop? If so please contact info@cartoons.ac.uk and tell us how you presently use, or would use cartoons, your profession and where you work.
We look forward to hearing from you.
