Hi all,

I have volunteered with teachers from other departments to look at producing a standardised assessment and marking policy for the whole school.

Has anyone else done this? What policies do you have at your school? Standardised or by department?

One big issue we have is the assessment of a student in dance compared to their work in English.

Would be grateful for ideas and comments.Posted Image

We have a school policy that sets a framework, and each department then produces a policy which explains what that means in practice in their department.

Seems to be the best of both worlds to be honest, although it would be interesting to see what would happen if conflicts arose (the school one seems to be getting a little more black and white recently...)

Here is what the Humanities type departments came up with in our school. we are separate departments, but just got chatting and decided that we would cut our workload if we came up with one together (for obvious reasons). SMT took it up and used it as a model for everyone else.
