Hi,
I am sure this has been covered hundreds of times but what KS3 schemes have historians gone for and which text book series?
without too much detail we have no specialist historians who operate in all the years throughout KS3 and i would class myself as a geographer who really enjoys the history. I would like to revamp. we currently use the old SHP books, but do native Americans in Y8 and some Romans in Y7.
Ive looked at the new SHP course for year 7 to 9 and the Folens series.
Which/what do people recommend?
thankyou

Go for the new SHP series and make sure you get Dynamic Learning, the interactive CD which goes with it as well. It is fairly bullet proof for use by interested non-specialists. It does a lot of the difficult thinking for you and has lots of good activities for the kids.
