Woo hoo.... Got Dale Banham to pay for one of my staff to come to conference...means I can abuse the school's CPD budget at some other time!!!!!

Nick; am thinking about the Teachmeet. Have a couple of little ideas in my head that I want to get into some semblance of shape before I volunteer!
Its not who I am but what I do which defines me...

Just a 'bump' to remind people about the conference and the TeachMeet. A full conference programme is now available from the website and you can sign up for the TeachMeet here. Looking forward to meeting lots of people on the forum and taking away great ideas for the next academic year. :)

Any more people coming to SHP this year? Are we going for a HTDF curry again? Any more takers for the TeachMeet? Will these questions ever stop? ;)

Vital have kindly agreed to provide copies of #movemeon to all the presenters.

Beedocs, makers of the excellent Timeline 3D have also agreed to donate a copy to one of the presenters. Many thanks to Elise and Adam at Beedocs!

Think Teachmeet might be a bit too scary for me...
But as we just got agreed to go (myself and the lovely Miss Johnson) Then I volunteer her services as she's a genius!
We're in for a curry by the way!

Missing you all! :tease:

Thinking is SO important Baldrick. What do YOU think?

Just say you want to go to eat with us here - we will update the list. Anyone else want to join in? :)

At the moment, the Curry list looks like this:

Jennifer James
Emma (from JJ's school)
Me
Sarah (Head of Classics from my school)
Beth (former student of mine)
John (poss)

Also, with a few weeks to go, here is a gentle reminder to come to one of the best History CPD events this year. Sign up for the conference here and then join in the TeachMeet fun too!

Gorbash, what are you doing?

Just to say that I'll be creeping out of the woodwork and attending again this year. Took home loads of great stuff from last year, then have got stuck in a bit of a rut with year 10s so desperately need something to spice it all up again.

Rachel. :)

Gorbash, what are you doing?

(1) Will not be able to do TeachMeet- need to go to the OCR session on controlled assessment which is on at the same time. As I'm doing controlled assessment from sept to oct half term and need to write the SoW over the summer its probably the wiser option for me!

(2) Am up for a curry; it didn't happen last year though....we actually ended up ordering Pizza and eating that in the SU bar instead!!!! Curry is good though- like our normal curry house.

Even if you don't fancy presenting, come along to hear what other teachers are doing in their classrooms.
