...erm...it appears that my posting has disappeared from the forum!?

Bad luck, did you try and edit it and delete by mistake perhaps? Whilst they could have all been added to one list, I'd prefer to separate the fact and fiction in the general history list.

just got the reading list through from Strathclyde, and one of the books which I'll add to the list is A Guide to Teaching Practice by Louis Cohen.

In my opinion, when I was a student teacher, I found that a few key websites where easier reference material than flicking through books. (feel free to look at mine below if you wish)

I'm in full agreement with the sentiments evident in the above posts regarding ICT. It is essential to be as fluent as possible with ICT - not only to give your lessons a little verve, but it also helps to save lots of time regarding administration - ie minutes, marking logs, letters, intervention activities etc.
