Northern History Network

We're thinking of putting together a Northern History Network next year and I am just putting out some feelers to see if schools would be interested. The London History Network is a great example of how regional teachers can work together, especially now Local Authority networks are disintegrating.
It would be organised by my own school and another school here in Kirklees (the Huddersfield area) and open to schools from anywhere to join in. We're planning to have four meetings a year, with high quality input/workshops at each one and lots of resource swapping.
The outline meeting schedule for next year is:
1) The EBacc effect: engagaging reluctant Historians at KS4
2) Developing projects with your partner primaries
3) History and ICT
4) New ideas from the conferences & a presentation by Mike Maddison HMI, National Adviser for History
If you/your schools would be interested in knowing more, please drop me a line on here and I'll get back to you with further details.

Just seeing if anyone else was interested in coming along to the NHN meetings we're putting together. Just drop me a line if you'd like to know more - it should be great!

I have attached the flyer with details of the plan and so on - it would be lovely if you could make it along. The more the merrier! The National Archives/ICT workshop has just been confirmed too for the March date. And Huddersfield is just a short M62 away from Liverpool too...!
:-)
If anyone would like to know more just drop me a line

I have added a booking form to the flyer (which would probably help!) and apologise if you have emailed me - we are experiencing some 'technical difficulties' at this end it seems..! However, the booking form should have all the details you need.
There is also another way of accessing the info as a website now exists:

Cheers - looking forward to seeing you at the first meeting,
Donald
