Hello,

I am a student doing a dissertation/business plan on a series of curriculum based interactive history book-apps for 7-11 year olds. I am trying to determine what teachers and parents think of such apps, what kind of content and interactive features teachers would like to see in such an app, and also whether or not they would be inclined to use them in the classroom.

Each app would deal with one period at a time such as the Romans, Anglo Saxons, Vikings, etc. They would be lavishly illustrated and written with humour similar to Usborne books, and would be designed to engage the interest of the child while incorporating interactive 'gaming' features such as quizzes and puzzles, and a quest-based rewards system in order to involve the child actively, challenge observation, memory and understanding and consolidate learning. They would also contain vocabulary support, an interactive timeline and some multimedia. They would be written by primary school teachers and be aligned with the curriculum.

Any comments, questions or feedback would be much appreciated, and if any one had time and wouldn't mind filling out a survey here is the link: http://edu.surveygiz...ional-Book-Apps

Many Thanks,

Christine
