For the past 2 years getting a C needed 24/25 marks for medicine. This year it jumped to 30 - what would have got a mid B! I don't mind a little movement but not that....not happy!

Bernard Woolley: Have the countries in alphabetical order? Oh no, we can't do that, we'd put Iraq next to Iran.

Bernard Woolley: That's one of those irregular verbs, isn't it? I give confidential security briefings. You leak. He has been charged under section 2a of the Official Secrets Act.

Suspect this will be spread around the exam boards... Something similar appears to be happening in English. Allegedly a response to "grade inflation".

Im appalled on Modern World paper two, 62% was a D, the grades were all bunched together, 4 or so marks between grades, we had 11 students of a cohort of 243 get below 50% yet came out with an A*-C pass rate on this paper of 66, appalled. The kids do better and are punished for it by inflated garde boundaries, where is the fairness?? People are talking about English inflated boundries, they need to take a look at these. Plus, on the same paper, marked out of 50, 100 UMS, a raw mark of 11 was a UMS of 12 therefore penalising the student twice when it comes to cashing in those marks this year and for the Y10's next year. Im dissolusioned!
