It reminds me of another site that is useful. I believe it has been mentioned before, but readers of this thread may not be aware of it.
Soviet Archives Exhibit at the USA Library of Congress. The section on the Internal Working of the Soviet System has some excellent primary source materials eg. on Collectivisation and Industrialisation.
The same site has some great photos too.
