I've been looking at some fabulous materials here that would work really well in a lesson on posters and propaganda in world war one.
Have a look and let me know what you think.

A student teacher that was at my school posted this a while ago, but I think it got lost amongst lots of other posts.

This Cambridge-based group have produced a number of quality materials. They are English-based but obviously allow themselves to stray into quality areas: http://aspirations.e...verse/home.acds

Loved the propaganda exercise - an effective and thought provoking approach to the topic. That's one lesson planned for next week!!! Thanks for that....

I've just finished my last propaganda lesson today!

Never mind I'll use it next year - thanks for that.

This was posted last year as Andrew said, but it is great to be reminded, and also to see that a save and print facility has also been added

I have used this site for ages but for some reason it doesn't seem to be working - am I just being a plonker?

It looks like the site has been removed - perhaps as it was based on Cambridge university servers when the project and / or funding ended so does the hosting. Such a pity as there were good resources on there.

You can browse the internet archive and still access the site: http://web.archive.o...verse/home.acds but unfortunately it doesn't look like the multimedia resources are stored as part of that archive.

Very disappointing and somewhat ironic that history teachers are missing out on access to great resources because websites disappear, change and remove content.

Or maybe not ;)

If you go to this page: http://web.archive.o...ut/sitemap.acds you can click on the multimedia links and they do still load :)

Might be worth someone with the opportunity to download the Flash files to preserve in case they go missing again. I've downloaded and attached the two exercises that I'd used previously to this thread.

As its a WWI thread - these are WWI diaries. http://www.war-diary.../index_1_en.htm Put the German ones into Google translate for an extra perspective...
