Does anyone know where I can get a copy of Schlindler's List the Schools Version. I'm pretty sure it exists but couldn't find it on Amazon etc. Cheers

This was sent out free to every school - I think it came from the Holocaust Educational Trust so it might be worth asking them. Their website is here: http://www.het.org.uk/

:) I have just finished using the full length film of Schindlers list over a three week teaching period, including break times- it has been most beneficial and has prompted an excellent reaction from students who watched it.

I recall reading somewhere that there is a school version of this - has anybody used this - where can it be obtained? is there anything better I should be considering ? I am thinking ahead to next year

Edit:
I've merged this thread with the previous suggestion.

Will look out for replies from anyone who knows of the school version, in the meantime if you need to use it I have got timings that show the key bits (the ghetto, selection etc.) which fit into an hour lesson quite neatly.

Still the long term issue : what are the relationship between school history and fiction, either from a movie or from a novel ?

From this side of the channel, one more issue : with or without images ? Alain Resnais 's Nuit & Brouillard, or Claude Lanzmann 's Shoah (9 hours for the full version).

I have a copy of the schools version - in fact i showed some clips from it today. I couldnt tell the difference between the two versions. The schools version comes with a second short documentary video and a booklet. (both of which I have never used and consequently have lost)
