I can't seem to upload files like PowerPoints and Flash files - the activities just show 'Page cannot be displayed' stuff.
Apart from that I like the blocks.

I'm trying to set up a Moodle site at http://www.learnhistory.org.uk and was wondering how others have gone about it. I had a bright student try it out today but he seemed baffled by it.

I know about the PPT issue - apparently and bizarrely Moodle doesn't agree with PowerPoint 2003 onwards, but I installed Open Office and it still doesn't like .mht presentations either. It's a basic imageless presentation and lighter than 2MB. I'll try the FTP route, but that's a pain as I can only do that at home and not at work. Thanks for the invite Lou, will get onto that. I really want this Moodle to work, I can see the potential, just need to get past the teething stages.

The main issue with present VLE is e-portfolios (every child must have one by 2008, or so local mantra suggests).
