Can anybody point me in the direction of an idiotproof guide to making podcasts using a Macbook (new Christmas toy!)? I would like to use it when we go back to school but haven't done any podcasting yet and am not gifted technically

You don't have to be technically gifted to use your Macbook! There is a piece of software called Garageband. Fire that up and go to the option to make a podcast and have a play recording stuff. I had a guide somewhere...but you can find some help on the Apple site here. This is a video tutorial. Any other help, please ask.
