Detailed background information about the invention of radar and its impact on the Second World War.  Goes into some enormous depth, but visitors can select sections of this.

High quality but resultantly text heavy description and explanation of secret technological aspects of warfare during the Second World War.  Very useful.
The Manhattan Project
A Thinkquest page on the Manhattan project.  US based material that offers interesting and accessible information about the creation of the first atomic bomb. 
A-bomb WWW museum
Information and source material concerning the dropping of the two atomic bombs on Japan.  An excellent source of some unpleasant yet all too true material.
Hiroshima
Part of the History Learning Site's WWII section, beginning with a bullet point explanation of the impact of the first Atomic bomb, leading onto eye witness accounts.
