What sort of man was Oliver Cromwell?
Introduction

Oliver Cromwell

Oliver Cromwell was the leader of the Parliamentarians during the English Civil War.  With his army, known as the New Model Army, he defeated the King, resulting in the execution of Charles I in 1649.  Cromwell eventually became Lord Protector, accused by some of being 'King in all but name'.
