Hi I'm doing a 2000 word essay on how the problems of the Weimar Rpublic led to the rise of the Nazis.

I'm going to talk about
weimar constitution (Proportional representation, the president, Article 48, the army, schools and teachers, judiciay, Freikorps, civil service, industry) Treaty of versailles, extreme left and right wing parties, hyperinflation, Munich putsch, occupation of the Ruhur, the german people not supporting the government and economy
Hitlers rise: Storm Troopers, hitlers programs and tactics, hitler challanges hindenburg and the election of July 31

am i going in the right direction? And where is the best place to get examples and quotes to back up my statements? Also is there anything else I need to include?

Is this a piece of GCSE coursework, Jade? If so I'm afraid there's a limit to the amount of help we are allowed to give (Exam Board regulations).

However, the plan you outline sounds good. Just make sure that you link the material you use directly to the question rather than writing disconnected paragraphs. Also try to make sure that you explain the material you use rather than writing descriptive passages.

NB. You refer to the election of July 1931. It was probably a typing error, but do be aware that it was 1932 - and also that there were elections in November 1932, not just July. Don't forget the Presidential election earlier that year as well.

You've sort-of touched on the economic difficulties in your outline but do make sure that you look at the impact of the Wall St Crash(1929) on the German economy and that you analyse the political advantages that the Nazis were able to exploit because of the depression in Germany in the early 1930s.

As far as finding facts and quotations to support what you write don't ignore your textbook which should have useful material you can use.
