Hi all,

I was wondering if I could get some help. I'm taking OCR (Schools History Project) and I'm doing medicine through time. I missed the lessons we did on the NHS and v.modern medicine which usually come right at the end of the course. Does anyone have any pointers they can give me, or advice on webpages whihc would provide accurate and relevant info?! I was predicted an A* in history, which is my best subject, and only got a C in my mock so I'm determined to do better!

Thank you,
Hannah :-) B)

I'd suggest having a look through the resources on this page:
http://www.education...k/Revtests1.htm

It offers a wide range of useful revision materials including exactly what you are looking for.

Also see the Medicine Revision section on this site:

NHS - basic points are covered in the sites that Mr Field has linked to. Remember the context - second world war, country fit for heroes etc. If you can explain how it links in with the welfare state as well, then you'll be doing well. many pupils forget that the NHS was opposed by a lot of doctors at the time. many of them feared a reduced salary, for example, as they'd lose private work as a result of the nationalisation.

very modern medicine - which board you doing?
