I agree. I only registered yesterday, but i find revising History on this website much easier than all my other subjects. Why can't there be a site like this for all my subjects?

The help here is brilliant with the teachers really putting themselves out to give us detailed and helpful replies.

Thank you. (oilcan and Kate)

It's always a pleasure to help students when they are polite and appreciative. :)

I really agree, it gives replies that do not just tell us the answer, but help us to learn more by persuading us to think and answer questions for ourselves.

Great website, thank-you for it!

I sometimes find that not only the activities help you to revise - but attempting to help others and researching to find their answers for yourself also helps you revise.

This is very true. However, it is important that students who attempt to help other students here think a little before doing so.
  • It's always a good idea to check the dates of the posts of the thread in question; for example there is little point in posting advice or help in a thread that is long 'dead'.
  • It's wise to read what has been said beforehand to ensure that the advice is not just being repeated - albeit in a slightly different form
  • It's advisable to check that if useful links are being suggested that they have not already been given before.
  • It's a good idea to check to see that what you want to say is directly relevant
It is certainly true that the best way of ensuring that you understand something is to try to explain it to someone else - but students here do need to bear the points above in mnd.

Note: These are general comments and not directed specifically at any one person.
