Hey, I have an IGCSE exam tomorrow and and got stuck on a previous exam question during my studies-
c) type question from Paper 1: "Only Stalin of the Allies achieved what he wanted as a result of the war with Germany." Do you agree? Explain your answer.
What do I have to say in my answer? What did Stalin achieve from Germany from WWII? I'm at a loss here...my textbook doesn't have anything in relevance to this question.

Hello and Welcome to the Forum,
This site is in the UK and for us your posting is in the early hours of the morning. I hope you will see this answer in time for your exam but .....
In your answer you would need to consider what EACH of the Allies (USSR, USA and Britain) wanted and what each of them gained as a result (primarily) of the agreements made at Yalta and Potsdam. As a result you will see that each of these three countries gained something of what they had hoped for, but not everything - and you would need to make this very clear in your answer.
If you are struggling to find the relevant information (are you sure your textbook has nothing on this?), then see these websites:

Good Luck with your exam!
