See here:
http://www.historyplace.com/worldwar2/rise...ler/boyhood.htm

It tells you that he started the equivalent of Primary School at age 6.

If you read the page carefully you'll see that his family moved around quite a bit and that Hitler attended several schools as a boy.

No it isn't - it's really EASY!!
Basically, 1923 was a really bad year for Germany (French invaded/ inflation ran out of control = economic collapse/ rebellions ALL OVER the place).
So Hitler - whose Nazi Party had been growing and now had about 50,000 members - thought he had a chance to mount a rebellion (those were the days when he thought he could take power by rebellion).
At first, he tried to arrange a rebellion with some other people in Munich (called Kahr and Lossow), but they later got cold feet and tried to back down.
Hitler burst into a meeting they were holding in a Beer Hall (hence the Munich Putsch is sometimes called the Beer Hall Putsch) and forced them to agree to help him rebel.
Then he let them go home - and they just telephoned the army and the police.
When Hitler marched into Munich next day thinking he was going to take power, they easily defeated his 'rebellion' and Hitler was arrested and put in prison.

You can find a really good basic site on the Putsch at History Learning
and there is a page on the Putsch at johndclare.net

It's a GREAT story - enjoy.
