Racism was rife in the South - and 75% of Black Americans lived there.
Ku Klux Klan
Black Americans were usually poor and exploited by white landowners.
Quality of life was far lower, with separate parks, buses, restaurants.
Jim Crow laws prevented voting rights.

They wanted a better life in the north, employment....

Think about all the problems the black Americans faced in the South and organise them into reasons. For each reason write a paragraph, give a detailed explanation of that reason..........make a point, explain and give evidence.
