Can somebody help me find a detailed description of what a Medieval doctor wore?
Thank you very much!! PS: In case you are wondering why I'm not doing it myself, I have looked but can't find anything. Hopefully you guys are lucky! |

Some good pics here (note that the picture of the bird-like clothes was to keep off the plague and was strictly 17th century, not medieval), and there are brilliant pictures of ordinary doctors here, here , here , here and here.
and don't forget Chaucer's physician: In sangwyn and in pers he clad was al, Lyned with taffata and with sendal; ie 'In blue and scarlet he was all-clothed lined with taffeta and with silk' |
