Although the Schoolhistory worksheet mentioned is a useful start, I think the following website might also be helpful:
http://easyweb.easyn...y/ECW/index.htm
It has information on weapons ('Technology'), how they were used ('Units') and the major battles, among other things.
For more information on armour, have a look at this thread.

There's lots on this forum if you do a forum search on
Roundheads
and follow the links.
Alternatively, put
roundheads
into a google search and follow the likely-looking links.

The links given by Mr. Clare have either changed or no longer work. The first one is now this.
The Royal Armouries site has several pages on English Civil War armour. This one explains about the full cuirassier armour which protected every part of a rider. However, have a think about about the weight of such armour and also whether most soldiers could have afforded such an expensive piece of kit. This page has a lot of detail about the armour worn by ordinary cavalrymen, as well as why the Royalists had to buy lots of their armour abroad. Thirdly, this page talks about the armour worn by pikemen, including why most pikemen soon gave up wearing it. Musketeers did not wear armour, except, occasionally, a buff-coat, made of strong leather. Finally this page talks about the buff-coat, which was probably the most widely used protection during the Civil Wars.
When looking at problems, think of: how much it weighed, what some of it cost, how easy it was to get hold of, or not. The main drawback relates to this point: did it really give much protection against musket bullets? If it didn't, was there much point in wearing it at all?

We have done a load on this in the past on the forum.
if I were you, I would do a forum search for:
+civil +model
and check out the likely-looking threads.
