I know there has been quite a few questions about the TOV but I cant find any about was it justified.

I can think of obvious reeason why it wasnt i.e. it was a diktat germany had no say in it but am kind of having mind freeze could you help me think of reasons why it was and wasnt xx thanks and sowii to be a pain

If I were you I would ridicule the title.

Of course it was justified - World War One HAD to have a treaty which brought it to an end.
So the Treaty was justified because four years of war made a peace treaty necessary.
Stupid essay title - what does it think was the alternative ... stay at war, perhaps???


I think, however, the essay wants you to talks about how whether its different provisions were justified.
Now - remember what the treaty said (GARGLE)

Guilt clause
Armed forces reduced
Reparations
Germany lost land
League of Nations set up
Anschluss forbidden.

You essay needs to have six paragraphs.
For each one, DESCRIBE what the treaty said, EXPLAIN why the Big 3 made this decision, and then ASSESS how justified they were in doing so.

So - guilt clause - describe it (231/ 'responsibility for all...' etc.) - explain why the Big 3 wanted this (necessary if they were to have the right to take reparations) - then assess how justified it was (Germany pointed out that Austria started the fighting and that Russia mobilised against her, but historians have said that there was a 'will to war' in germany than engineered the chance to go to war).
