hi, i hav a debate on the topic of appeasement and i am supposed to prove that appeasement wasn't the only option at the time. i know that some alternatives are to suppress hitler when he broke the treaty of versailles and/or when he took over sudetenland. are there any other alternatives?

Good question!
The thing about appeasement was that it was Britain/FRance's alternative foreign policy after they decided that the League of Nations was not working.
SO your primary 'altenative' has to be stick with the LoN/community of power approach.

However, there were other foreign policies which you could suggest:
1. Isolation - USA (and USSR for most of the time) followed this throughout the interwar period, and that had always been Britain's policy during the 19th century
2. Direct negotiation - broked a deal with Hitler for Britain's benefot alone (actually Britain did this in the Naval Agreement of 1935)

Do you want to exploremore extreme solutions - e.g. assassinate Hitler/ destabilise the Nazi regime/ turn Fascist (Mosely and his Blackshirt were growing in power in the early 1930s)/ go neutral like Switzerland??
