Hi
I'm attempting to revise America, and specifically The Civil Rights Movement, but there are so many acronyms, NAACP, CORE, NOW etc. and on the course as a whole- NATO, CREEP, ICBM etc.etc. and i was wondering if there was something i could download with a list of acronyms and what they stand for, and what the mean?
Thank you x

PS. and legislation, but that's a whole new bucket of worms!

Have you come across this site: http://acronymfinder.com/.

I haven't come across a list on the internet, but what I advise you to do is to make your own list as you revise - by writing them down you'll help yourself remember them.
Then a good way to check your revision will be to go through the acronyms and, for each, to see if you can rememebr WHAT it was and WHAT it did!
