First, rajy, please don't forget to say please - everybody does on this forum.

Anyway, the triangular trade:

This webpage is very short, clear and easy - http://www.historyonthenet.com/Slave_Trade...ngulartrade.htm

This looks good and simple - http://www.nmm.ac.uk...heme/triangular.

In reality, the trade was - as you might expect - much more complicated than its name suggests - see this map for some more detail and this map to see how complex it really was - and for some countries it wasn't even triangular: slave traders from Brazil and the USA just went to-and-fro across the Atlantic buying slaves.

The map on this webpage - http://africanhistor...y/aa080601a.htm - reminds you that 'Africa' wasn't just one place; there were many different African areas and kingdoms which sold slaves to the traders, and each was different to the other.

It was only a 'triangular trade' for British slavers and some American slavers (see this map to see how the 'triangular trade' worked for American slavers - note that it was different for British slavers.)
