Hi, I'd be really grateful if someone could help me answer these questions in relation to the pictures

Images
1. http://img128.images...dsc00008zd4.jpg
2. http://img295.images...01081237bf2.jpg
3. http://img512.images...dsc00005tl5.jpg
4. http://img128.images...dsc00007sm7.jpg
5. http://img257.images...dsc00009lv6.jpg

Questions in relation to the image number
1. Who is the woman on the left?
2. Where was that poster originally placed?
3. What collection in the british museum is that from? Hint was that it's x5 magnification
4. What is that? - (You have to rotate the picture 90 degrees clockwise)
5. What is that?

Thanks alot for all the help

I assume these are questions in some college quiz, and that you have photo'd them from the question-board?

That isn't really what this forum is for.
However, I was quite entertained, so:

1. Not a clue. The woman on the left looks a bit like the queen, and the photo has the feel of one of those publicity photos from after WWII where they were going around opening new towns. But the only Attlee Drives in Britain are one on Dartford (in a development dating from the late 19th century) and Goole. I have multimapped, but can't find any Attlee Drives anywhere else in the world. RU from Dartford - is it anything to do with your local history???
2. Is the very famous advert for the Great North Railway, drawn by John Hassall, 1908, and displayed in many railway stations to encourage people to start taking train holidays to the seaside in general and Skegness in particular. You may be interested to know that 'bracing' was a euphemism for 'bloody freezing' (and it still is). It ay also interest you to know that the photo you display is not the orginal, but a later (1930s???) copy for the LNER and the Skegness tourist board. Have a look at this webpage.
3. appears to be the queen from the famous Lewis chessmen set
4. appears to be the hammerbeam roof of the Great Hall at Stirling Castle
5. is the pit head winding gear at some coal mine, but i can't find the picture which locates it to a particular pit - might be one local to you.

It would have been easier if your photos hadn't been so blurred.
