i really enjoy history but i still seem to be having trouble listening to all the boring topics like world war 1 but i need to know about it due to my tests coming up and i want to take history up to become a journalist what can i do? please could you help me

I'll let others have their say, but in my opinion it's just they way you're being taught it.
History is the sum total of everything that happened to everyone, everywhere - you can't find anything interesting in that, there's something wrong with you.
My advice would be - whatever subject you;re doing in school - to 'read round' it in books and on the web looking for the 'interesting bits'.

That's great!!!
Hope you enjoy it and find you are a successful historian.
After GCSE, there's A-Level, and then on to uni or college - too soon to be making those kind of decisions ... they're just options in the future.
For the moment, concentrate on getting over the first hurdle!

If u want 2 make history fun when u have 2 do a study on war or the after affects of the war u should look at the new weaponry the tacticts and all of the major battles are fun 2 read about

In what ways is WW1 boring?
Read around it: AJP Taylors account is very lively even if I dont agree with all of it. Are you able to get more emotionally involved at all? I remember visiting the graves, and the battlefields and it was just mindblowing...Even just looking at the war paintings at the imperial war museum is fascinating.
