What were the reasons the battles were won and lost?

This is just a matter of reading the accounts of the battle and making a list for each of the factors which helped Cromwell and the Parliamentarians win.

You will find that the ideas you find fit into three broad categories:
1. Who had the bigger better army
2. Who had the better tactics/ strategies
3. Specific factors on the day

There is now a really good website all about the Battle of Naseby:

Why do I think it's so good? Well, for one thing, it gives sources so you can check whetehr the information it gives is correct. If you want to find out more, it gives you lots of ideas about where to look. Furthermore, it includes some of the most recent research on the battle, including the battlefield archaeology work of Glenn Foard, for example.

There is also a section on 'Questions and Puzzles' about the battle; not games, but detailed answers to questions which have puzzled historians. However, despite the fact that I think this is probably the best website on Naseby around at the moment, that doesn't mean that everyone has to agree with everything it says.
