we have a mock next week and the teacher hinted it would be on railroads (what effect they had), salt lake city . and conflict on the plains between whites and indians (i think)
anyway i have thought of a few points to make on the questions about reasons for conflict, these are- reservations, they destroyed the nomadic lifestyle of the indians, when gold was discovered in the black hills the indians didnt like it because it was their sacred land, the buffalo being shot by cowboys the buffalo were the indians main source of food, fuel. clothing, weapons ets. Also when the railroads were built the indians could not move freely. Also the whites didnt understand the indians way of life. are these ok or do i need more?
for salt lake city question i am going to put why the mormons had to move there, the journey there and what work they did there. is this ok?

Sounds a good set of questions to revise to me.
What problems did the Mormons face at Salt LAke City
Many of these questions are addressed here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/...p/americanwest/
