OK, BEFORE YOU START ANYTHING:

1. first, read this page - http://www.johndclare.net/America4.htm.
Read it through a number of times until you understand it.

2. Secondly, think about what a boom is. It's when everybody's buying things, and factories are making profits and making huge outputs etc. It's when the economy is go, go go. Look back at the features of the boom on the page you have just read.
Now, what you have to EXPLAIN is how the fators you have listed might have helped to create such a boom.

a. republican policies (ie tariffs and low taxes). These both helped because they made it easier for businessmen to make a profit.
b. advertising (helped increase demand = increased sales)
c. an increase in population (= increased demand = increased sales)
d. the buying and selling of shares (= pumped millions of $ investment into companies so they could expand and buy the latest machinery)
e. the new productional methods (ie assemby lines such as Ford) = cheaper, faster production = more sales and more profit.

REMEMBER that you will have to explain these properly.
