Help? Where do I find out haow many recruited in ww1?

If what you are asking is "How many men volunteered to join the British Army in August 1914?" the answer is 500,000 (half a million) and that was 5 times as many as the government had expected at first.

There are also a couple of useful paragraphs - the ones alongside the famous recruitment poster using a picture of Kitchener - on this webpage.
