Please can you give me an overview of how marks are awarded for AQA history coursework. I have searched many websites and found 'your' link to 'the booklet' but it only went to booklet 1 out of the 5 and I think i could do with seeing 3&4. I would like to know the type of structure and depth of knowledge required for top marks in a 500 word answer - I looked on AQA site but 'page not available!!

Are you doing Modern World Studies.
If so, your can get copies of generic markschemes for the different coursework skills on pages 47-52 of the course specification.
If you are doing Schoos History Project, the markschemes (which are the same) are on pages 51-55 of the specification.
You need to find out what skill(s) the peice of coursework your teacher has set is addressing, and then make sure that there is something in your answer which hits ALL FOUR levels.
