I am extremely interested in History however I have problems with writing essays.

I have removed your email address. It is very dangerous to put such details on the open web and invite anybody who happens to come across it to be your penpal.
If you really DO want a History penpal, then I suggest you approach your teacher and let him do the thing officially through the school.
