I think the place to start is to find out some facts about propaganda, DORA and the war at sea.

After that, it is just a simple 'explain' essay, which needs you to do a little bit of thinking about HOW these things helped Britain win.

PROPAGANDA
get some examples - see what they were trying to do - and then think: if this worked as it should have done, HOW would this help Britain win the war?

DORA
This said a number of things; go through them, and for each think: HOW would this help Britain win the war? (For instance, it introduced British Summer Time, which gave farmers more time to work in daylight - and helped them produce more food, which meant that the British people didn;t starve during the war). This is going to be a lovely paragraoh with multiple explanations.

WAR AT SEA
This had two sides:
a. The germans tried to use U-boats to blockade British ports -- describe how the British beat this, and how doing so helped them win the war (Think: what would have happened if no supply ships had been able to get through).
b. The British navy wanted to blockade German ports so that the GREMAN people would starve. The German navy tried to sot them at the battle of Jutland but was defeated - how did this help Britain win the war (clue: think what happened in germany in October 1918).
