Nazi Germany: Depression And Reichstag Fire I need help....thanks

Basically there are a few things that I am confused about... :blink:
I learned about the depression that occured in Germany, but can you give me a description about it.
Also, how did Adolf Hitler use the Reichstag fire to consolidate their power?

The Depression DID hit Germany and DID help Hitler come to power - see point 8 on this webpage for a start and then flesh it out using this webpage.

Hitler used the Reichstag Fire as an excuse to suspend civil liberties and then and therefore to destory his opponents (esp the communists).
