There's no need to request a reply as soon as possible. It isn't as if we will deliberately take out time replying

To find out about the Battle of the Somme you need to do an internet search for 'Battle of the Somme'. If you do this, you get:

http://www.spartacus...uk/FWWsomme.htm
http://www.firstworl...ttles/somme.htm
http://www.cdli.ca/beaumont/somme.htm
http://www.bbc.co.uk...tle_somme.shtml

All these links, while quite detailed and complicated, will give you lots of information to look through and do your own work :)

Do post again if you need any further help.

I'm a bit surprised you couldn't find what you wanted on Mr Clare's site, but ....

I think that this is probably the page you were looking for and there are links to other sites/more info. on the right hand side of that page.

Does that help? If not, then do post again.

You seem to have posted the identical message several times, loz.

I have already answered one of them here already.

Try here - http://www.firstworl.../trenchlife.htm.
If you read it, it makes it quite clear what happened during the day and during the night.

And this pupil has done the job for you: http://hubpages.com/...in_the_Trenches
