I have been given an essay of 'What were the main causes of world war two?' I have to consider
Germans reactions to the Treaty of Versailles.
The impact of the great depression.
The failure of the league of nations- Manchuria and abysinnia invaded.
    Germanys foreign policy aims.
    Germanys foreign policy.
The British and French policy of appeasement.
    And The Nazi- Soviet pact.

We were given a sheet with all theses points listed and 4 column to fill in for each point- Content, explanation, links and importance- but i have no idea of the importnce of each point. I can't find any straight links between points, I've only managed to fill in 3 of 7 explanation boxes and I'm not to sure of the content especially 'Geman foreign policy aims'??? wacko.gif

Please help unsure.gif

OK
You are almost there.

The content is just 'what happened'.

For the explanation boxes, try:
this webpage
this podcast and
this webpage on the Great Depression as a cause of the war
This is the HARDEST section, and the key is to sit back and ponder a while about HOW that factor contributed towards the outbreak of war.

The links are easier than you think - it's just every time you meet one of the factors whilst you are talking about another of the factors.
For example, one of Hitler's foreign policy aims was that he hated the Treaty of versailles.
TheGreat Depression comes up in many of them, particularly Japan's invasion of Manchuria andItaly's invasion of Abyssinia.
etc.
You will be able to find DOZENS when you get going.

In the 'importance' column, start by ranking them in order of importance - 'Most Important', 'Very important', 'Not very important' and 'Of Marginal Importance'.
And then state a reason for each WHY you put it in that category.

Get back to us if this doesn't sort it.
