I've heard my history teacher say a thousand times 'Historians hate bullets', to anyone who dares to bullet points their 'for and against' arguments in 10 mark questions ect. But I was wondering if the use of bullet points is occasionally forgivable in coursework essays. For example if you are listing and explaining the aims of a policy in a piece of coursework? For example:
Hitler's forgien policy aims were:
- Overturn the Treaty of Versaille : Hitler saw the Treaty of Versailles as an embarrasment... etc.
- Destroy Communism : Communism posed a threat to Hitler's ideals of... etc
- Expand land. : Hitler wanted to create a German empire, he wanted Lebensraum etc.
These aims were popular to ordinairy germans because... continue essay.
This may seem very pinickity, but my work is due in Monday, and it's supposed to be a final draft. Obviously I could just list the aims, but it looks messy and in it would be clearer to bullet point.
Thanks for your help on this slightly strange topic, and sorry for spelling errors.
