I am very happy to allow discussion points about the slave trade.

Are you studying it in class?
If you tell your teacher and the rest of your class that you have put the topic on this forum, the they can all join in and have a discussion online.

This interested me - this idea that the slave trade did more harm to Africa than historians are telling us.
Have you any evidence to back up your allegation?

Certainly politically the slave trade did a lot of damage, the emerging nation states of Northern Africa reacted to the slave trade in a negative way. Arguing Economically may be more difficult. and socially will be difficult to gain evidence.

That said It is an interesting (but also sensitive) point.
