Hi,

At my school we are doing the new EdExcel AS History course.
With one teacher we do the Slave Trade and the Scramble for Africa (the other is the Experience of Warfare in Britain but that's ok).

For whatever reason EdExcel decided it would be great not to do a textbook for the Slave Trade and Africa Units, which makes revision for the upcoming AS exams a little difficult. I also don't think there are any third-party revision resources (e.g. CGP) for this which really sucks. Obviously I have my class notes and some handouts from the teacher, but I'm really not sure what we absolutely need to know; especially considering that the units are really confusing.

Does anyone know of any revision resources for these two units because I'm a little concerned to say the least!

Thanks,
BennyUK7

A level revision books are a continual worry.

On the Scramble for Africa the best thing I can recommend is the Longmans Seminar Study.

On the slave trade - nothing; perhaps smeone else can suggest something.

Have you got the Unit Number - I can't find it on the OCR website.
Are you sure you don't mean Edexcel?

My apologies it is Edexcel - not sure of the code though.

Thanks for the amazon link, I will check it out!
