Hi, I was wanting to use BBC Bitesize to help me in my revision for my Standard Grade history Exam. However, changing life in Scotland and Britain 1750-1850 isn't listed, why is this? I could really use some help with this topic in particular and since it was done quite a while ago I can remember very little. My teacher is not the best and if you ask for help all that comes from it is a rambling that 99% of the time end up off topic within a minute or so. Any help with this topic would be appreciated very VERY much.

Thanks!

There's some stuff here on the GCSE Bitesize - it will give you some of the background, but it's not specific enough to meet the SG syllabus.

The BBC has some stuff on the history of Scotland during this period, but it's not focussed on SG.

Do you have a textbook? - I would suggest you revise from that but the only book I can find on the web is Changing Life in Scotland and Britain, 1750-1850 (Standard Grade History), by Craig Madden (Hodder Arnold H&S, 1992) ISBN: 0340532823 - which is long out of print and VERY expensive. Perhaps it might be worthwhile trying your local library?)

In short, there's nothing on the web and you'll have to go to your teacher!

Thanks for the reply :D
I think I might ask my friends teacher fro help instead, as he finds her good, and I'm not happy with mine, she's the head of department too. Nobody in my class is coping well with the changing life topic, at least I have a good amount of time in the exam leave before the history exam which I can use to revise the changing life topic and use the advice from A Finemess on Enquiry Skills questions which i also need help on, the advice is very good and i thank you for it ^_^

Thanks again

Paul

 I think bitesize is onyl good for some things! It is lacking alot of the key topics that i have been assured will be on my summer exams! us eit as best you can..if not try SchoolHistory.co.uk or maybe others (use google but be sure to check info by your teacher).
To conclude, bitesize is not the best, but hey! its good sometimes! :)
