I'm working on a research paper where I have to use primary sources. One of the things I'm writing about is miasmas. As far as I know, Galen was one of the first natural philosophers to write about miasmas, but I can't figure out which book he discussed them in. =/ Anyone know which books he wrote about miasmas in?

Ths book has a quote, but annoyingly when you trace the reference to the end of the chapter it cites a secondary not the primary source.
That's the best I can find on the web.
I'll keep looking.

Yeah, I found a bunch of books with quotes, and that was the book with the longest quote. =/ I suppose I could just use the quote as a kind of indirect primary source, which is better than nothing. Next time I should just find a primary source and base my research project on that instead of picking a topic to find primary sources for.
Thanks anyway. ^^b

You could try searching in the Wellcome online library. Unlikely that you'd find the original source but the books that are cited here would have good references which I've usually found to be helpful when tracking down a primary source.
If you get really stuck post again.
