Hello EVERYBODY!

I'm writing because i need help! my mock exams are coming soon and i decided that the best way for me to revise and remember dates was by making a time line of all the presidents and the events that happened in America during the period of 1941 and 1980. However, when I started going through my book to find out the order of the dates and the actual dates that everything happened... NOTHING WAS IN ORDER. EVERYTHING was all over the place! I guess what i'm trying to say is that if you have any useful websites i can use or anything similar please tell me!

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi there.
It IS a problem that many students have.

There is a fancy slidy thing here.
This one seems better for what you are wanting it for.
And this BBC webpage has a list of key dates.

However, my advice would be to persevere with your own.

Perhaps use the BBC list to construct a basic timeline (on a piece of A2 paper).
Then, as you revise, add everything you meet onto your timeline in the correct place.

The reason I say this is that, although using someone else's will save you time and confusion, ultimately it's someone else's timeline, and all you will do is look at it.
Making your own will be burdensome and confusing, but the very act of sorting out the confusion and putting the events onto the timeline will help you understand the sequence of events better, and will help to burn it into your memory.

The best way to revise is always to DO SOMETHING WITH THE INFORMATION you are trying to learn, and making it into a timeline is a suitable 'something' to do.
